A few favorite accomplishments: winning top awards in honors English, French and Home & Family Living (based in part on a scrumptious coconut cream pie), all during senior year in high school; being part of the Texas Women’s History Project; co-founding the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Austin.
A few favorite doings: eating, cooking, gardening, reading, writing, gazing at the slope spiked with agaves, yuccas and native grasses outside my office window, seeing art and design, tracking down places to stay, dine and visit while traveling, going to different places in my mind and coaxing out ideas for work and play.
A few favorite places: Firenze, Lucca, Panzano, Val d’Orcia, drive between Firenze and Siena, Roma, Paris, Provence, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, New Orleans, Northern New Mexico, Mesa Verde, Texas Hill Country, drive between Big Bend and Davis Mountains, Sevilla, Lisbon, Sintra, Guanajuato, Isla Mujeres, home.
